NEED FOOTAGE / A RESUME/ TO BE FILMED?
I have recently decided to put my footage up for sale, so if you come across something you like in this blog, which I, Bryce Gage, have filmed feel free to leave a comment on the post or hit me at bryce_gage@hotmail.com or www.myspace.com/bbbryce and let me know. I'm not retiring from the filming world, just simply trying to make some coin for bigger and better things. Also if you would like a resume made up or would like to be filmed for a couple of bligs ($) don't hesitate to send me some love and we'll talk business, Peace.xox

W I G S G A L O R E
Today I shot for almost 11 hours at a well known south coast ledge. All the wigs were going hectic and I cleaned up, scoring upwards of 100 clips, including one sick shot from water of Byron Bartlett claiming a barrell. Jase was blowing up today, getting some of the biggest bombs and staying out till dark by himself. The wigs talking each other up also landed professional surfer Dean Bowen in some hot water when he was pressured into getting a bomb on a bodyboard, pretty sure he almost died haha. Here's a few frames, woo!

R O S W E L L
This morning I was woken by Rory "Rockdog" Horton in the hope of finding some big slabs. We headed south and had to sit in the car for half an hour due to the clouds making it too dark to see. The first wave we checked was super small so we were a bit hesitant on checking anywhere else, however Rory decided he didn't jig year 12 english for nothing and we had a look at an over exposed south coast reef which happenned to be pretty pumping with no one in sight. The wigs were on the scene after a couple of hours but I thought I'd provoke some hype on Rory because was going skitz considering he was surfing solo for several hours, throwing his 17 year old pencil-like frame into some sizey caverns, check it.

M O R E I N S P I R A T I O N
As you know I've been watching alot of skateboarding videos lately in order to study the techniques, camera angles and other forms of inventive flare thrust upon them by their creator. I have recently stumbled accross some really creative stuff that the people at DVS have been producing. Unlike most bodyboard movies they choose to utilize copious amounts of practical creativity rather than relying on hours behind a Macbook, slaving away on Final Cut Pro to generate a feel of innovation. What I like most about these videos is that their shots are concise, angles are different and they went to the effort of building structures, generated a specific lighting and skated insanely.
Here's the extended version, which I feel is better than the original.
Here's the extended version, which I feel is better than the original.
And Here is the behind the scenes, I like this more than the original and the extended version because it really gives a deeper understanding to how much effort went into creating the video and portreys what the director was thinking and visualising when making his vision come to life.
